Grapevine Tip Line is an independent research project. We collect information from the public about individuals who hold, seek, or exercise public office, and we publish material we believe bears on matters of legitimate public concern. We are not a news wire, a court, or an investigative agency.

This site contains accounts submitted by third parties, our summaries of those accounts, and our own commentary. Statements about individuals are presented as allegations, opinions, or reports of what a source has told us — not as adjudicated fact.

Publication is not an endorsement of accuracy. Where we have not corroborated an account, we say so. Where an account is disputed, we note the dispute. Readers should draw their own conclusions and should not treat anything here as proof of wrongdoing.

By submitting a tip, you represent and agree that:

• The information is truthful to the best of your knowledge, and you are not knowingly submitting anything false or misleading.
• You obtained it lawfully — not through theft, unauthorized access to a computer system or account, or a recording you were not entitled to make.
• You are not breaching a court order, protective order, or duty of confidentiality by sending it. If you are bound by an NDA or separation agreement, consult your own lawyer first. We cannot advise you and we do not indemnify you.
• You are not submitting classified material, privileged material, information about minors, or private medical, financial, or identifying details about people who are not public figures.
• You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, edit, excerpt, publish, and archive your submission in any medium.

We may decline to publish anything, for any reason. We may edit or condense submissions. We are under no obligation to investigate or respond.

You may submit anonymously, and we take reasonable steps to protect submitter identities — but we cannot promise absolute anonymity. We may be compelled by subpoena or court order to disclose what we hold, including metadata. Technical measures can fail. Third-party services may retain records outside our control. Details within a submission may identify you regardless of what we withhold.

If your safety, employment, or legal position depends on not being identified, consult a lawyer before contacting us.

Portions of this site consist of user submissions. To the extent applicable law — including Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, 47 U.S.C. § 230 — limits the liability of interactive computer service providers for content supplied by others, we invoke those protections in full. Views in user submissions are the submitter's, not ours. We are not responsible for the content of linked outside sites.

Tell us specifically what is inaccurate and provide supporting documentation where possible. We review every substantiated request in good faith and will correct, annotate, or remove material where review warrants. We offer subjects a reasonable opportunity to respond and will publish responses alongside the original material where appropriate.
